Scouting Report | Smoot is very raw at this point. I believe he only started playing basketball when he entered high school. He has a strong frame and moves pretty well. Smoot has a 7'4" wingspan and a good coach in Clint Swan so I believe he might greatly improve before his senior year is over. I thought he played very well this spring/summer for SYF especially in terms of his rebounding and scoring against contact. In the past, he didn't dominate the boards like you would expect him to with his size and strength. Recently, Smoot has committed to play for the U.S. Naval Academy. |
