Class 3A has been strong and open throughout the season. Few people would have predicted a Marion-Evansville Bosse state championship game before the tournament. Bosse was just 11-9 in the middle of February. Outside of Logansport, Marion struggled against the good teams on its regular season schedule. Both teams are playing their basketball in the tournament.
