This week at the Metro Indy Fall League, we tried to observe teams and players that we have not seen in the first two weeks. There were many really good performances, but eight players stood out to me. Here is an in-depth look at those players.

Lucas Huffman 6-5 SG Franklin Central 2014 Low-Major Stretch to NAIA
Huffman was terrific in the game that I watched on Sunday especially in the second half. He has always been a good outside shooter. It seems like his athleticism has improved over the last year. He looked to attack off the dribble more than I have seen him do in the past. Huffman was efficient around the basket. There's no doubt that he is a very solid NAIA prospect and higher in the right spots.
Bryce Lienhoop 6-6 F Columbus East 2014 Committed to St. Francis (Ind.)
Lienhoop committed to St. Francis (Ind.) on Sunday. He followed up his commitment with a very solid day on the court. He has great length and has put on a decent amount of muscle over the last few months. Lienhoop has a knack for the ball. Lienhoop should have a very good career at St. Francis.
Josh Speidel 6-6 F Columbus North 2015 Mid-Major
Speidel showed off his mid-range shooting ability on Sunday. He can really shoot it from 12-18 feet. He has a quick, high release on his shot. His overall athleticism has improved slightly since the spring/summer. Speidel competes and understands the game at a high level. Rebounding ability is a concern for the mid-major level.
Bryce Moore 6-3 G Park Tudor 2015 Low-Major to Mid-Major
The athletic guard shot the ball well on Sunday. His overall shooting form is improving. His shot selection still needs some work. He takes contested, deep 2's consistently. Moore is a very good on-ball defender. He has good size for a lead guard. If Moore can be consistent on the offensive end, his stock will jump.
Djimon Henson 6-3 SG Warren Central 2016 Low-Major to Mid-Major
Henson did some really good things while attacking the basket and using his athleticism on both ends. He also did some very poor things with multiple poor shots during critical times in the game. Henson's length and athleticism are two great building blocks for his game. He also has some skill to his game, but it does need to be developed to a much higher level.
Michael Ertle 5-10 PG Mt. Vernon 2017
Ertle is one of my early favorite players to watch in the 2017 class. He has good quickness. He has a really good feel for the game for a freshmen. Ertle has the ability to consistently hit shots from the outside. He looks to attack the defense at all opportunities. He's a tough, heady player. Growing a couple inches will definitely help his game and I think there is a good chance that he gets a little bit taller.
Kyle Guy 6-2 SG Lawrence Central 2016 Mid-Major to High-Major
Along with Huffman, Guy led a 17-point comeback on Sunday. He had a big third quarter that started the comeback for his team. He has a good feel for the game. He shot faked beyond the 3-point line to get a defender in the air before jumping into him to get the foul call. Guy's overall skill set is really good. He has good quickness. Growing a couple more inches plus adding muscle to his frame would make him a cinch high-major prospect.
Sterling Weatherford 6-2 SG Hamilton Heights 2017
First good look at Weatherford and he was impressive. He is Grant Weatheford 's (2015) brother. Sterling is taller and longer than Grant especially at the same age. Just like Grant, Sterling is a good football player as he started varsity last week as a freshmen. Sterling is a very good athlete for his age. His shot looks like it could use some tweaking, but solid overall form. Sterling definitely has the potential to be a very good basketball prospect.
