Indiana-based travel programs fared very well in the opening week of the evaluation period. Here is a look at some of the success.

Indiana Elite 2015 Wins adidas Invite
Indiana Elite was without Hyron Edwards, Kyle Guy, Josh Speidel as they competed in the adidas Unrivaled event in Chicago. That did not stop IE from capturing the title at the adidas Invitational. Perry Meridian's Dylan Windler saw his recruitment skyrocket with his additional minutes. Hamilton Heights point guard Grant Weatherford was fantastic all week. Then Purdue commit Ryan Cline picked up the scoring slack in multiple games. Indiana Elite could have made excuses since they were short-handed but they just went out and competed. It was an impressive feat.
Eric Gordon Central Stars Continue Success
Pat Mullin's EG group has been one of the surprises in the adidas Uprising league. Without a superstar, they have dominated the circuit this spring. The EG Central Stars made the adidas Invite title game before falling to Indiana Elite 2015. Tahjai Teague and Nick Rogers continued to rise their games. Ben Davis forward Brennan Gillis was offered by Northern Kentucky during the event.
UA GRIND Indy Hoosiers Cruise
The Grassroots Indiana Indy Hoosiers have been one of the best 15 and under travel teams in the country this year. They proved their worth once again this week by sailing to the adidas Invite championship. The Hoosiers have many of the top 2017 prospects in the state of Indiana with the likes of Kris Wilkes, Paul Scruggs, Zach Gunn, Justin Thomas and Cooper Neese to name a few. They occassionally have Gary Trent Jr. on their roster and he was with them at the adidas Invite. Trent is a fantastic prospect that currently lives in Minnesota. There are few 15 and under teams that can match the Hoosiers in terms of size, athleticism and skill level.
Legit Basketball Makes NY2LA Final Four
Another talented group at the 15 and under level is Legit Basketball based out of Fort Wayne. They don't have a shoe deal, so they are not competing in the leagues that some others are. Legit Basketball is a very sound group with one big college prospect...literally. Fort Wayne Snider's Malik Williams might be a true 6-foot-10 now. His length, athleticism, hands and instincts for the game have the makings of a special player. His ceiling is nearly unlimited if he has the focus and work ethic to reach his potential. Legit made the final four of the 15 and under division of the NY2LA Next Level Invititional. They ended up losing to a very deep Wisconsin Playground Warriors team. Legit has a roster full of shooters and competitors. It will be fun to watch how they develop.
MBA Select, Indiana Elite Central
Both MBA Select and Indiana Elite Central went undefeated during pool play at the adidas Invite. Martavious Richmond and Ryan Lutz led MBA Select to a 3-0 record in play pool. Both are scholarship-worthy players for the next level. Lutz is at Penn High School while Richmond attends Clay High School in South Bend. MBA Select did end up bowing out of the bracket play early though.
Indiana Elite Central had a similar story. They went 3-0 in a super pool (super pool means a group of top teams and all advance to the top bracket) and then lost a tough game to open up the bracket portion of the tournament. Tipton guard Mason Degenkolb led the way as he has all travel season for Indiana Elite. He is one of Indiana's top scorers in the 2016 class. Fishers wing Lance Dollison also played well for Central. He is a shooter with a strong build. Dollison has elevated his game this spring and summer.
