Indianapolis Tech vs. Lawrence Central Notes
-Tech jumped out to an early lead. Trey Lyles was outstanding on both ends. He had a huge block on Jeremy Hollowell at the rim and he also had a spin move out of the post that he finished with a dunk.
-Lawrence Central got back into the game because of their zone defense. Tech started settling for outside shots consistently while also turning the ball over frequently.
-It looked like Lawrence Central might pull away in the fourth quarter as they took a 47-38 lead to the fourth.
-Tech didn’t go away though. Hollowell picked up his 4th foul with 3:41 left in the game and it was a back and forth game the rest of the way.
-Lawrence Central was up 2 when Tyler Corley turned it over and Tech got a lay-up to tie the game with 22 seconds.
-Tyler Fischl took a shot that got blocked with around 8 seconds left. Trey Lyles jumped on the loose ball and was tied up. The possession arrow favored Lawrence Central.
-Lawrence Central in-bounded the ball to Jeremy Hollowell with 5.3 seconds left. He sliced to the basket and scored over contact from Lyles as time expired.
-Lawrence Central advanced to play Warren Central in the second round of the sectional.
-Indianapolis Tech finished the season 16-5 with their main core of players all underclassmen.
