Northern Kentucky, Lipscomb, and Wright State were at Carmel's first open gym today. Lipscomb has also offered McRoberts. He said that he will take an official to Vermont after his NKU visit. McRoberts also said that he will take an unofficial visit to Miami (OH) on October 5th. He currently has four offers from NKU, Vermont, Lipscomb, and Miami (OH). McRoberts said that Ball State is in the picture and he talks to them a little bit at this point.
McRoberts is one of the best defenders in the state at 6-6. At the high school level, he can guard point guard through center. At the next level, he will likely be able to guard 2 through 4. He has not showcased his offensive game much in the past. McRoberts finishes well around the basket and has a good stroke from 15 to 19 feet. With the graduation of Michael Volovic and James Crowley, I would expect McRoberts to be more aggressive on the offensive end this season for Carmel. One area he definitely needs to improve is ball-handling. He is not comfortable putting the ball on the floor for more than one dribble against pressure. {/iACL}
