Perry Poindexter, Jr. Interview

Perry Poindexter, Jr. is a 6’7” post player from North Central. The sophomore-to-be has had a very good spring for his Eric Gordon All-Stars AAU team. Here is what Perry had to say about his game and recruitment so far…

IBS: Who has shown interest in you so far?

Perry Poindexter: “Purdue, Indiana and Xavier

IBS: Have you visited anywhere yet?

Perry Poindexter: “No, not yet. I plan to visit Purdue sometime in the summer or the fall.”

IBS: Will you be going to any elite camps?

Perry Poindexter: “I’m going to the camp this weekend at IU. Then Michigan State, I think on the 11th.”

 

IBS: What are your strengths as a player right now?

Perry Poindexter: “Finishing at the rim, offensive rebounding, and blocking shots.”

IBS: Are you working on any areas of your game this spring/summer?

Perry Poindexter: “On the defensive end, just getting in better positioning because I will be guarding players bigger and stronger than me soon.”

IBS: Do you know if you are still growing? Have you talked to any doctors about an expected height?

Perry Poindexter: “Yeah, the doctor said I’m expected to be 6’9””

IBS: What position do you expect to play in college?

Perry Poindexter: “Probably small forward or power forward”
