Official signing news

Spike Albrecht 6’0” PG Northfield Mt. Hermon (2011 Crown Point graduate) inked his national letter of intent on Wednesday. Trey Burke decided to come back to Michigan though after testing the NBA waters. I expect him to be solid at Michigan, nothing flashy but just getting things done when they need to be done.

Isaac Mack 6’1” PG Panola Junior College (2010 Indianapolis Tech graduate) signed with the University of New Orleans. The connection to both Panola and New Orleans is Kris Arkenburg, who is an Indiana-native and was an assistant at Panola when he recruited Mack then joined New Orleans’ staff last summer.

Gentry Announces Transfer

Josh Gentry 6’5” SF North Dakota (Pike 2011) announced that he will transfer out of North Dakota after just one season there. He only played in 16 games and averaged 0.7 points per game for the Sioux. His initial list of schools he would like to transfer to were mostly D1 schools closer to Indianapolis.

Ford Will Attend Prep School

Mike Ford 6’4” SG Bowman Academy told us that he has decided to attend prep school next year for a post-grad season. He has not determined which prep school he will enroll at yet. Ford has the talent to be a mid-major stretch although his effort has been questionable. If he gets things together, his game would really take off. {/iACL}
