Tuesday, Cathedral guard Vincent Brady committed to the Air Force Academy. Earlier in the fall, Brady was offered by Chicago State as well, but he decided to pick the Falcons.
Brady had a head-turning summer for the George Hill All Indy group coached by Mike Saunders. Brady had multiple games where he rattled off a handful of three-pointers. In addition to his shooting, he started to showcase his athleticism a bit more. He had one dunk against Team Herro Phenom Universe that he put one of the top-ranked prospects in the country on a poster. Those things led to more D1 attention.
In recent years, Air Force has recruited Indiana hard. Currently, the Falcons have Brebeuf graduate Simon Banks on their roster. Banks didn't appears in any games as a freshman, but he was on the roster. This season he is a sophomore.
In the last update with Indiana Basketball Source, Brady mentioned that Air Force had been in contact with him. Here's the full update.
Brady will be one of the leaders for a top-tier Cathedral team this year. The Irish bring back Tayshawn Comer, Pete Moe, Jake Davis, and Jaron Tibbs to name a few. Jason Delaney also has sophomore Xavier Booker who oozes potential. It should be another great year for Brady and Cathedral.
