The annual Metro Indy Basketball Fall League finished its season last weekend. Indiana Basketball Source reviews the play and college potential of 20 prospects in part one of the league breakdown.
CJ Gunn – 6-4 – SG – Lawrence North – 2022
Gunn might have had the best overall day. He took over in the second half of the quarterfinal game then was excellent against Jayden Brewer, Shamar Avance, DJ Hughes, etc. in the semifinal game. His shooting consistency continues to make strides. He has great form and a textbook release. When his feet are under him, Gunn is a top-tier shooter. He's also a very good athlete that stands out in transition. Gunn also made an impact as a helpside defender and rebounder. As a guard, he will grab a rebound and push the ball up the floor himself. His game has shown major progress in the last year. There's no doubt that Gunn is a high-major prospect.
