Holidays In Preview

Indiana Basketball Source is taking a turn from our usual slate of ten games and doing a preview of the five best holiday tournaments and shootouts over the next 10 days. We’ll go over the top teams and players in each event and let you know where to be to catch all the action.
 
 
Marion Holiday Classic (December 22 at Marion HS)
This one-day event has a distinct Fort Wayne flavor this year as four SAC teams head down I-69 for this six-game event. There will be plenty of talent on display at Bill Green Arena throughout the afternoon and evening.

Manual Holiday Shootout (December 23 at Manual HS)
This one gets started just after dawn with an 8 am tip and go for ten games straight at Manual in one of the busiest days of the season. Teams from Ohio, Illinois, and Tennessee will be on hand to challenge some of the best from Indiana.

Bob Wettig Tournament (December 27-29 at Richmond HS and IU-East)
A staple of the holiday schedule, the Wettig Tournament in Richmond is three jam-packed days of basketball at the Tiernan Center at Richmond High School.

Parkview Sports Medicine SAC Holiday Tournament (December 27-30 at Wayne HS)
The SAC Tournament is one of the best spots for talent watching over the holiday break. The conference lost several talented players to graduation last year, but after favorite North Side, it’s a wide-open field where anyone could make a run to the finals.

Raymond James Hall of Fame Classic (December 30 at New Castle HS)
The most prestigious in-season tournament in the state always has good games to offer, and this year is no exception. The New Castle Fieldhouse should be packed as the hometown Trojans make an appearance in this year’s edition.
