The 4A Indiana high school state championship game between McCutcheon and New Albany has many strong match-ups. It starts with the head coaches – Rick Peckinpaugh and Jim Shannon. They have a combined 1,011 wins. The two are respected across the state. This is the first state title game for each, though. Here is more on the game.

Griffith/Marion Scheduled for Wednesday

Griffith's team bus crashed on its way to the Lafayette Jeff 3A semi-state on Saturday. The crash resulted in the team bus flipping upside down. Luckily, no one had life-threatening injuries in the crash. The game did need to be delayed, though. Here is more on the situation.

3A Semi-State: Marion 60, Griffith 58

The semi-state game between Marion and Griffith was going to be a match-up of two of the best 3A teams in the state. The storyline made a dramatic jump when Griffith's bus was involved in a crash on Saturday that saw each player sent to the hospital. The game was in question. The two schools decided to play on Wednesday night.

4A in Lafayette: McCutcheon 40, Warsaw 37

Before a crowd of nearly 7000 at the Crawley Center Saturday night, the McCutcheon Mavericks used a patient offensive approach to defeat Warsaw in the Class 4A North Semistate. It is the first semistate title in school history for the Mavs, who will face New Albany in next week's state finals at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
