NorthWood jumped out to an 8-0 lead against Liberty Christian at the Marion Classic and never looked back. The Panthers won 61-37.

Luke Zurcher and Vincent Miranda were a problem for Liberty Christian from start to finish. Zurcher scored the first five points of the game to set the tone. He finished with 16 points and eight rebounds. Miranda finished with 16 points and nine rebounds. The pair had a hand in most plays for NorthWood.

The Lions struggled to score the entire game. Liberty Christian’s leading scorer Ronny Williams was held to eight points. He entered the game averaging 25 points and 12 rebounds. The Lions need Williams to have his normal production in order to win and that didn’t happen.

NorthWood moved to 6-0 with the victory while Liberty Christian dropped to 3-5 on the season.
