A big game from Kobe Webster on senior night propelled Park Tudor to a victory over Cardinal Ritter. He scored 31 points in the Panthers 60-54 victory.

The first quarter was slow for both teams. That led to a combined 16 points being scored in the first eight minutes of the game. Neither team was particularly sharp to begin the game.

Webster didn’t allow Park Tudor’s offense to stall for much longer. The 2017 guard opened the second quarter on a 9-2 run against Ritter. He had a couple of three-pointers plus an and-1 off of a drive. Webster scored 16 points in the second period. His scoring outburst allowed Park Tudor to build a 13-point halftime lead.

Park Tudor scored the first five points of the second half to stretch its lead to 18 points. Ritter struggled to get clean, easy looks against Park Tudor’s man and zone defenses all night. Shelby Turner had a personal 6-0 run to get Ritter’s offense moving in the third quarter.

Ritter faced a 13-point deficit heading to the fourth quarter. The Raiders started to chip away at the Park Tudor lead. Nate Soltis was able to get a three-pointer to go early in the period. He was able to get to the basket and own the offensive glass all game. Unfortunately for Cardinal Ritter, he wasn’t able to convert the offensive boards into points has he had a number of shots roll off the rim on this night.

As Ritter was making some head way, Kobe Webster reappeared to knock down two three-pointers about midway through the fourth quarter. Those back-to-back triples gave Park Tudor plenty of breathing room even when Soltis and Miles Tracy started knocking down shots late in the game.

Park Tudor held on for the 60-54 win. Kobe Webster led everyone with 31 points. Brent Brimmage added 11 points and six rebounds. Nate Soltis had 18 points, 14 rebounds, three blocks and three steals. His 18 points came on 7-23 shooting, though. Shelby Turner added 15 points for Ritter.
