Lawrence North Dominant Against Park Tudor

Lawrence North took control in the first quarter against Park Tudor and never let up in its 87-49 victory.

Key Stretch

The game was decided the moment when Lawrence North applied the full court pressure. Park Tudor was able to get a few bounces that turned into three-pointers for Isiah Moore and Cole Greenwalt. The early shooting kept Park Tudor in it, but they were shaky each time they faced Lawrence North’s press. LN pressured Zionsville all over the court in the scrimmage and dominated. The Wildcats are fun to watch this season as they extend their pressure.

Standouts

Jared Hankins wasted no time asserting himself on the offensive end. He was in attack mode on the first possession of the game and stayed like that. He finished with 23 points on 10 of 13 shooting. When his shot is locked in, Hankins scores points in a hurry.

Kevin Easley was 10 of 19 from the floor on his way to 22 points. It was his three steals and multiple deflections that really helped Lawrence North build a lead. He also had four rebounds.

DJ Hughes had a few really nice plays, especially as a passer. The freshman finished with 10 points, four rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block. Lawrence North lacks size, so he has been playing in the paint almost exclusively so far. Down the road, Hughes will play on the perimeter.

Isiah Moore was the bright spot for Park Tudor. The only breakdowns of Lawrence North’s defense were when they gave Moore space to get a shot off. Moore tallied 22 points on 7-14 shooting. He’s a fantastic shooter when he gets a sliver of space.

Surprises

Jared Hankins, Dorean Hatton, JP Carroll and Jackson Moulton shot a combined six of eight from the three-point line. If Lawrence North is going to get efficient shooting from beyond the arc, the Wildcats will be tough to beat no matter the opponent.

Next Up

Lawrence North welcomes Marion to town Friday. Park Tudor will try to get back on track against Broad Ripple next Monday.
