The Indiana All-Stars have all the star power in the series, but Kentucky was able to beat Indiana 100-89 at Bellarmine University Friday night.
Kentucky used a 28-point effort from Markelo Sullivan to beat Indiana. Sullivan went 5-9 from three-point range. Kentucky also received a double-double from Skyelar Potter as he had 19 points and 12 rebounds. Eric Boone impacted the game in all areas as he collected 11 points, nine rebounds, nine assists, and four steals.
Indiana struggled from three-point range. Romeo Langford went 0-6 from deep while the team finished 10-34. Langford finished with 17 points on 6-16 shooting. On the opposite side, Kentucky buried 13 of 27. That was a major factor in the outcome.
Eric Hunter and Mekhi Lairy were the bright spots for Indiana. Hunter scored 10 points on 4-6 shooting and added four rebounds in his 16 minutes. Lairy scored 11 by going 3-4 from beyond the arc.
Indiana and Kentucky square off again at Bankers Life Fieldhouse Saturday night.
