In the North Central Conference finale for both teams, Richmond traveled from the other side of the state to spoil the Bronchos chance at a perfect conference record. The Red Devils rode inside play in the first half before unleashing a barrage of three pointers in the second half to come from behind and knock off Lafayette Jeff. Andrean went to Gary West Side on Tuesday night, and used big games from Ben Jones and Nick Flesher to beat the Cougars.
Coming into Friday night’s game, Carroll and Homestead were sitting at 6-2 in SAC play along with Snider and Bishop Luers. The Knights of Luers had the tiebreakers, so if they won, Luers would be the champs. A Luers loss would open the door for Carroll or Homestead.
