Another loaded schedule Saturday night for Indiana high school hoops set the stage for several strong performances. Here were some of the best individual showings from around the state for Saturday, Jan. 9.
Zane Burke, Blackhawk Christian 2021, and Caleb Furst, 2021, scored 22 and 20 points, respectively, as Blackhawk Christian blew out Concordia, 107-63.
Brian Waddell, Carmel 2021, led with a game-high 17 points and 4 rebounds as Carmel earned a convincing win over Westfield, 54-30.
Gus Etchison, Hamilton Heights 2021, was a one-man wrecking crew notching 43 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds and 5 steals, though the Huskies still fell to Herron, 99-87.
Jalen Blackmon, Marion 2021, was on fire against South Side scoring 40 points as Marion won 83-77.
Brady Moore, Floyd Central 2022, finished with 20 points and nine rebounds Floyd Central’s 69-60 victory over South Spencer.
Jake Heidbreder, Floyd Central 2021, added 17 points, five rebounds, five assists and recorded his 1,000th career point in the win over South Spencer.
Luke Saylor, Heritage 2023, posted a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds as Heritage down Southern Wells 66-61.
Nyles Knapke, Heritage 2023, tied a school record with 7 three-pointers in Heritage’s win over Southern Wells.
Malachi Pearson, Logansport 2021, scored 31 points to propel Logansport to a 49-43 win over Western.
Christopher Mantis, Lowell 2021, produced in all areas recording 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to push Lowell over Highland, 67-43.
Coleman Sater, Edgewood 2021, collected a game-high 27 points and 6 rebounds to help Edgewood get past South Putnam, 59-47.
Malik Stanley, Warren Central 2021, stole the show with 26 points and 5 steals as Warren Central toppled Hamilton Southeastern, 75-54.
Lincoln Hale, Linton-Stockton 2021, polished off another strong performance with 30 points as Linton down Bloomfield, 67-58.
Travis Grayson, Chesterton 2022, led with 23 points in Chesterton’s 53-42 victory over Merrillville.
Drew Howard, Forest Park 2022, paced his team with 23 points in a 71-65 win over Perry Central.
Clark Barrett, Central Catholic 2022, nearly outscored the entire Rensselaer team with 24 points as Central Catholic cruised to a 52-30 win.
Aidan Cannon, Cardinal Ritter 2021, and Jordan Turner, 2022, each topped 20 points with 26 and 22, respectively, in a 93-61 triumph.
Clay Butler, Ben Davis 2023, did a little bit of everything for the Giants finishing with 21 points, 6 steals and 5 rebounds to push Ben Davis over George Washington.
K.J. Windham, Ben Davis 2024, had a career-best 20 points in the Giants’ victory.
Jake Chapman, Tri-Central 2022, had a big double-double with 33 points and 11 rebounds in his team’s 64-58 win over Wes-Del.
Jaden Peetz, South Ripley 2021, scored 31 points and proved too much to handle in South Ripley’s 85-53 victory over Jac-Cen-Del.
Caleb Swearingen, Northview 2021, had 19 points to surpass 1,000 points in his career as Northview went on to win 63-59 at Owen Valley.
