(Caleb Furst led the way Saturday night)
The 2021 Indiana All-Stars completed a sweep of the Kentucky All-Stars with an 86-70 win on Saturday night.
Indiana's 2021 class is deep, and it showed in the Indiana-Kentucky All-Star series. Both games were competitive, but Indiana was never in danger of losing either game. Indiana led for 73 of the 80 minutes over the two games. The talent disparity between the teams was tremendous once again this year.
In Saturday's game, Mr. Basketball Caleb Furst and Shamar Avance posted double-doubles, with Furst having 14 points and 17 rebounds and Avance tallying 13 points and ten rebounds. Blake Wesley, Trey Kaufman- Renn, Luke Brown, and Jayden Taylor also scored in double figures for Indiana.
Defense led the way for Indiana as Kentucky only shot an effective field goal percentage of 35. However, a decent eFG% is 53. That helped Indiana dig out of an early hole and pull away in the second half.
In Friday's game at Kentucky, Luke Brown led Indiana with 18 points. Furst, Wesley, Avance, and Pierce Thomas also scored in double figures as Indiana won 93-70.
