Early in the season, Indiana Basketball Source has seen Brebeuf twice. With that in mind, here are the college evaluations for Billy Smith, Evan Altman, Austin Ezell, and Anthony Hopson.
Indiana Basketball Source has seen Blackhawk Christian play three games so far in the 2020-2021 high school basketball season. With that background, Trevor Andershock breaks down the college projections of Caleb Furst, Zane Burke, Marcus Davidson, and Jake Boyer.
Furst has been tremendous in the three games – 23.3 points, 14.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.3 blocks per game. Throughout his career, he has become more comfortable away from the basket. He’s only 3-8 on shots outside of the lane in those three games, but he is looking for it more than he did last season. He’s also 13-17 from the free throw line. That is a good predictor tool for future shooting. So far, he is balancing his game well – attacking in the post, looking for his outside shot, setting up his teammates. Furst needs to cut down on his turnovers, but his play has been fantastic. Furst projects to make an impact early in his career at Purdue.
Indiana Basketball Source was on hand to see NECC and sectional foes Central Noble and Westview met up Saturday night in Emma with both ranked in this week’s 2A poll. A balanced effort which saw four players score in double figures allowed Westview to hold off a second half rally and score an important conference victory.
