Kokomo’s Patrick Hardimon won
Indiana Basketball Source’s player of the week poll to begin the 2021-2022 high school basketball season. Hardimon scored 28 points, including the game-winning three-pointer, to beat Western in the Wildkats’ opener.
Hardimon narrowly beat South Decatur’s Hunter Johnson for the honor. Johnson scored 42 points twice in the opening week. He tallied a total of 84 points against Switzerland County and Trinity Lutheran. He also had a total of 17 rebounds over the two games.

Ashton Williamson helped Gary 21st Century Charter beat
Indianapolis Tindley in a 1A battle to begin the season. Williamson nearly recorded a triple-double with 21 points, ten assists, and seven rebounds. He also had four steals.
