Sunday at the NY2LA Sports Swish’ N Dish Spring Warm-Up featured quarterfinal, semifinal, and championship games for each age group. With the shortened field,
Indiana Basketball Source caught teams multiple times.
Cam Christie and Conrad Luczynski helped the
Illinois Wolves to a 17U semifinal appearance. That run ended against The Family, but Christie and Luczynski were stellar all day. Christie continues to grow and get stronger, while his shooting has also taken a step forward. Christie knocked down spot-up threes all day and also hit pull-ups off the dribble. He does not create as much for himself as his brother,
Max Christie, but Cam is turning his potential into production.
Luczynski is a seven-footer in the 2022 class. On Sunday, he rebounded, scored inside, passed, and even hit a contested mid-range shot. His size and hands are excellent, plus he can catch and finish in a hurry. Luczynski is not the best laterally, but he keeps up with the action, then jumps and finishes quickly at the rim. This spring, he is looking for a D1 offer, or Luczynski will take a post-graduate season.
