A night after knocking off Class 4A #1 Carmel, North Central had to avoid a letdown against sectional foe Hamilton Southeastern. The game featured a pair of standouts in Indiana's loaded 2017 class in North Central wing Kris Wilkes and HSE forward Zach Gunn. A balanced effort from the visitors allowed North Central to gradually pull away for a 68-51 win.
Carmel and North Central have had some great battles over the last few years. The programs produce talented teams each season under Scott Heady and Doug Mitchell. Carmel is once again a favorite to contend for a state title while North Central is young but yet talented.
