Park Tudor pulled away late to beat Hamilton Southeastern 48-38 on Monday night. Both teams struggled on the offensive end throughout the night. Western Michigan-bound guard Bryce Moore took over late to push Park Tudor to the victory. Moore finished with 23 points.
The first half was marred by turnovers and poor shooting. There were 15 first half turnovers by the teams compared to just 10 made field goals. Sophomore Jaren Jackson Jr. was the bright spot in the first half for Park Tudor. He had nine of the team's 16 points. Zach Gunn had eight of Hamilton Southeastern's 17 first half points.
The game flowed the same way in the third quarter with neither team getting into an offensive rhythm. Freshman Brennan Schofield gave Hamilton Southeastern a spark with a couple three-pointers in the period. HSE took a small lead to the final quarter.
Moore dominated the fourth quarter by getting to the free-throw line. He finished 12 of 15 from the charity stripe. Gunn was unable to break out in the final stanza. No other player for Hamilton Southeastern was able to take the offensive pressure off of Gunn either. Evan Frank gave Park Tudor good production all night but especially in the fourth. He finished with six points and 13 rebounds.
