After one of the most intense recruiting battles of the year, Cody Zeller has chosen to play for Indiana University. This was a rare year that most of the top 100 players in the nation were committed before signing day even neared. So, most of the recruiting world was focused on Zeller even when people had no direct interest in the schools involved."The players and coaches were the biggest reason (to chose IU)" Zeller said. "The business school and facilities were also a big factor" Zeller added.
Zeller chose IU over Butler and North Carolina. He joins Austin Etherington of Hamilton Heights as the members of the 2011 recruiting class for Indiana. Zeller commented that he will join Etherington in trying to get 2012 recruit Yogi Ferrell to chose Indiana as well now. Etherington was actively trying to get Cody to commit to IU over the last year.
