It is rare to see the four corners offense anymore. That is exactly what propelled Greenfield-Central to an early lead against Richmond. They would make some passes, some cuts, and use patience until Richmond fell asleep which led to an easy look. Greenfield-Central wasn't just waiting for layups though, they would take the wide open 3 as well. They jumped out to a 15-10 lead after the first quarter.
The second quarter went a little bit differently. Greenfield-Central wasn't getting the easy looks and they were turning the ball over. That allowed Richmond to get some easy baskets and helped regained their confidence. It boiled down to the fact that Richmond was getting easier opportunities than GC. Richmond took a 23-22 lead to half time.
The third quarter was more of the same. Greenfield-Central struggled to get many good looks but Derek Conley tried to keep his team in the game. Conley's play was a bright spot for Greenfield in the second half. He got to the basket and finished a few times with floaters and other crafty finishes. Conley also stepped back and hit a 3.
Jon Trawick came alive in the second half for Richmond. He has a great mid-range jumper and finishes inside due to his strength. Trawick struggled when he put the ball on the floor though. He had four turnovers when he tried to get to the rim with the dribble. He ended up with 19 points though to lead Richmond.
Richmond escaped with the 51-47 victory.

Chandler Miller, 6'3" junior guard, was a bit disappointing. I liked what I saw of him at the Top 100 workout this summer. He attacked the basket more during that event. This game, he was primarily just on the perimeter looking to shoot 3's. He's a guy for D2/NAIA programs to keep an eye on.
Tyler Stone, 6'6" junior power forward, has a nice shooting touch for a big guy. He didn't do much with his back to the basket though. Stone did get a couple of put backs. He ended with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Stone was limited in the second half because he was in foul trouble. He isn't an explosive athlete but I like his skill set.
Derek Conley, 6'0" sophomore guard, impressed me more than anyone in this game. He isn't lightning quick, but he uses his dribble well. He's crafty in the lane and also looked to be a pretty good shooter. Conley did get in trouble a few times, because he went to trap areas and had no outlet.
