There isn't much to report about this game. Mt. Carmel couldn't match Princeton's athleticism and it was really tough to get a good gauge on the improvement of the Princeton players. Princeton jumped out to a 24-4 lead in the first quarter before losing concentration and letting Mt. Carmel back into the game. Princeton played better in the second half and pulled away for an 81-53 win.
Dontray Chavis 6'4 SF Princeton 2011 Did most of his damage from the post area but he is a super athlete. He had a great dunk where he left before the volleyball line and finished it over a defender. Unfortunately for him it was called a charge so it didn't count. Great athlete and good motor, but didn't play on the perimeter at all. He struggled from the line going 0-3 and it didn't look good.
Jalen Packer 6'2 PG Princeton 2011 The Mt. Carmel guards never came out and pressured Packer on the perimeter (assuming that they didn't think he could shot and weren't quick enough to pressure much) so it was hard to see if he improved his ball handling. He has good quickness, size, and plays unselfishly. Outside shooting is his main weakness.
Rontray Chavis 6'4 Princeton 2011 Rontray is more of the perimeter player of the twins. He did not shoot it well from the outside going 0-5 and Mt. Carmel was not contending his shots at all. His free-throws looked good though and went 7-7 from there. He is a good athlete like his brother, but he will make some wild passes.
