Site: North Judson

Teams: Woodlan, Winamac, Westview, Bishop Noll

Top college prospects: Larry Crisler (IU baseball), Tyreon Gates, Jordyn Bontrager, Chandler Aspy

Trevor Andershock's pick: Bishop Noll

All four teams in this regional have the same mascot, so I'll go out on a limb and say the Warriors will advance to semistate. Woodlan and Winamac square off in the opening game, and Woodlan has the athleticism advantage big time. Look for Indiana State football signee Jaylin Bennett, who ran for over 2000 yards on the football field this fall, to run wild against Winamac's frontcourt all game long. Bishop Noll, led by senior wing and IU baseball signee Larry Crisler, will face a tough matchup against a Westview squad that has won 14 of their last 15 games. Bishop Noll also has seniors Marquis Tarver and Tyreon Gates, and they should be enough to get by Westview. Westview has senior Jordyn Bontrager – who is averaging nearly 18 points per game – and junior Chandler Aspy – who is scoring 15 points per game. Bishop Noll and Woodlan should be a fun matchup, but Noll is eager to show what they can do when they don't have to play Bowman, and they win to move on to semistate.

Teams: Fountain Central, Tipton, Wapahani, Lewis Cass

Fountain Central and Tipton met in the regional two years ago, with then-junior Mike Crawford leading the Blue Devils to victory. Crawford is playing at St. Louis now, but Tipton has high scoring sophomore Mason Degenkolb, who is averaging 23.5 points on the season. Fountain Central has their own scoring machine, junior forward Ethan Woodrow, who is pouring in just under 22 a game. Tipton should be able to take advantage of a Mustang team that only goes six deep, and move on to the title game. Wapahani had to survive Frankton's 15 three pointers to win their sectional, and Wright State signee Grant Evans, senior forward Jacob Foster, and the rest of the Raiders are determined not to stop now. They face a Lewis Cass team that hasn't lost since December 13th and is riding an 18 game winning streak into the regional. Schoenle is looking for Evans to continue his great play from the sectional and push Wapahani onto victory. Andershock sees the Wapahani-Lewis Cass game as a toss-up with Wapahani having a slight advantage. The title game would be a rematch of last year's regional championship, which saw Tipton defeat Wapahani 60-58 on a Mike Crawford coast to coast layup at the buzzer. Tipton won't have a home court advantage this year, and Wapahani will exact their revenge and win the regional crown this time around.

Teams: Crispus Attucks, Park Tudor, Northeastern, Speedway

Top 5 college prospects: Trevon Bluiett, Austin Shelton, Jordan Furlow, Anthony Jones, Bryce Moore

Trevor Andershock's pick: Park Tudor

Crispus Attucks won the school's first sectional since 1973, although they did not participate in the state tourney from 1986-2007. They are led by guard Devon Briggs and forward Darrell Hutchinson. But their tallest player is the 6'3 Hutchinson, and Trevon Bluiett should be able to have his way scoring at the rim. Hutchinson is a load inside, but Park Tudor's zone will likely slow him down. Northeastern's starting five all average between 9 and 12 points a game. Freshman point guard Tyler Smith looks to make a name for himself against Speedway and their senior point guard Jordan Furlow. Speedway hasn't lost since an overtime defeat to Park Tudor on January 21st. We are both taking the one-two punch of Furlow and junior wing Anthony Jones over Northeastern's balance. Speedway was able to take Park Tudor to overtime in the aforementioned game, but look for Kyle Cox to employ their 2-3 zone to slow down Speedway's athletes. Schoenle and Andershock are both taking the Park Tudor over Speedway. Trevon Bluiett will be doing everything that he can to continue his historic season and career.

Site: Southridge

Teams: Linton-Stockton, Perry Central, Austin, Clarksville

Top college prospects: Andrew Jones (Holy Cross College), Calvin McEwen (Holy Cross College)

Clarksville is a large favorite in this regional. Last year's 2A runner up Linton-Stockton makes it back to regionals, but returns only one starter - Bryant Jackson - from last year's squad. Perry Central will want revenge for last year's regional, which saw them fall at the hands of Linton-Stockton. Perry should be able to turn the tables and advance to the championship. Austin and Clarksville go at it for the second time this year, as Clarksville took the first contest 51-42 in January. Look for Clarksville to win this time also behind the duo of Andrew Jones and Calvin McEwen. The title game would be a rematch of last year's regional semis, but look for Jones and McEwen to take advantage of a much different Miner team than they faced last year, as Clarksville should move onto semistate.
