Scouting Report | Pickett is an athletic combo guard who likes to attack the basket. His shooting form from the outside is good. He will need to prove that he can be a point guard at the next level to obtain offers from the schools that are currently interested. He scored 26 points per game against a soft schedule.
vs. Northrop I loved how Pickett attacked the basket in this one. He was just a little bit off though. He was 6-16 from the field and 4-4 from the line for 15 points.
vs. Bloomington South great efficient game against Bloomington South. He has been very efficient all season. My one complaint about Pickett's game this season is that he does not get to the free-throw line. He is an 85% free-throw shooter but only getting there about 2 times a game. Pickett shot 8 free-throws against Bloomington South which led to his great game. He will be very good at Loyola.
vs. Carmel was 5-10 from the field for 10 points. He has not gotten to the free-throw line the last few times I have seen him. That concerns me a little bit, but I like Pickett's skill set and athleticism. He should be very good at Loyola.
vs. Warren Central... was incredible. 13-18 from the field including 5-6 from 3. He also had a huge breakaway dunk in the first overtime. His night was cut short when he fouled out in the first overtime. Every shot that he took was a good one, no forced shots. He has been plagued by a nagging back but looked healthy tonight.
vs. Brownsburg very quiet night for Pickett. The Loyola-commit was passive on the offensive end, and that is unusual for him. He was 2-5 from the field.
