Sunday was the start of the Metro Indy Basketball Fall League at the Noblesville Boys and Girls Club. There are over 300 players in the league including 40 Division 1 prospects. The effort level has been very high in the past years and this week was no different. We were not able to see every game Sunday, but here are some of the top performances that we witnessed.
Jaylon Brown, 6’0” PG 2013 Fishers HS/Martin’s Wolverines, is the easy choice to lead this list since he scored 50 points in a game Sunday night. He had 7 three-pointers in the 50 point game and another 6 threes in his other game. If he shoots it consistently from the outside, his opponents are in trouble since he is explosive off the dribble.
Devin Davis, 6’6” F 2013 Warren Central HS/Eric Gordon All-Stars, is another no-brainer and likely could be on the list every week. The Indiana University-bound forward dominates the game on both ends during fall league. There are a lot of talented players in the league, but none play harder than Davis. He had somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 points and 30 rebounds over the two games Sunday night. IU fans will love his toughness and energy.
