Many players stood out during Sunday's Metro Indy Basketball Fall League. We took a look at the top performances and the top surprises earlier this week. Today, we have notes on 17 other prospects. They are in order of their graduating class.

Michael Morris, 6’5” F New Palestine 2013, does a little bit of everything. He is very strong and will rebound. He is also a good outside shooter off the catch and off the dribble. Morris is an okay athlete, but not great laterally. He’s a high level D2/NAIA prospect.
Andrew Dakich, 6’0” PG Zionsville 2013, displayed a nice floater game Sunday. He scored in a variety of ways in the lane. In order for Dakich to get D1 offers, he will have to prove he can defend the athletic point guards and knock down outside shots.
Clint Cunningham, 6’6” F Columbus North 2013, one play really sticks out from Cunningham Sunday. He drove baseline and went up to dunk in traffic. I did not know he had that ability. He is another player that would do really well at the D2/NAIA2D3 level.
Malik Fisher, 6’7” F Broad Ripple 2013, did some good things over the summer and continues to show flashes. He is very thin right now, but is a solid athlete with good length. I’m not sure how his grades are…he might be a juco option to give himself more time to develop.
Keaton Hendricks, 6’5” SF Bloomington South 2014, was aggressive and played well on Sunday. He created space off the dribble when he went one on one. Hendricks visited IPFW last week.
Carter VanWanzeele, 6’4” SF Avon 2014, is a flat-out shooter and that is what he did Sunday. I’m interested to taking a closer look at him to see if he can defend or do anything else offensively.
Tyler Jenkins, 6’0” PG Hamilton Southeastern 2014, is a good athlete (probably better than we gave him credit for before). Jenkins is a player that we are going to watch closely this fall league to get some specifics on what he can and cannot do.
Xavier Ringo, 5’10” PG Brownsburg 2014, did not shoot it well, but was good in all other parts of the game. He is lightning quick and when you add in his strength, that makes him a weapon on the defensive end despite his height. He must be a more consistent shooter to be a D1 prospect though.
Seth Cox, 6’10” C New Palestine 2014, is a true 6-10 and you cannot teach that. He is slightly out of shape, but he plays hard and tries to defend/rebound. He has pretty good hands, but his feet must improve to be a D1 prospect.
Marquez Winston, 6’2” SG Lawrence Central 2014, looked much improved from a year ago. He is utilizing his athleticism on the defensive end. His offensive game is looking much more smooth especially his ball-handling. Winston is likely a small college prospect, but has a chance for D1 if he keeps improving.
Perry Poindexter, 6’6” PF North Central 2014, showed a face-up game Sunday. He went off the dribble and was able to get to the basket. His mid-range jumper looked good as well. His energy and effort are still his biggest drawbacks. Poindexter is a good athlete and has good length. He should be more productive with his natural abilities than he is. LM prospect right now with an MM+ ceiling.
Jordan Garnett, 6’5” SF Warren Central 2014, played well against Alex Etherington. He did a great job of defending Etherington. Alex just hit some tough shots over the top of Garnett. Garnett’s offensive game has steadily improved and expanded over the last year. MM-/LM+ prospect with an MM ceiling.
Daeshon Francis, 6’2” SG Lawrence North 2014, has been slightly disappointing the last few times I have seen him. He is a great athlete and excels in a fast-paced style. His game has not expanded. Francis must improve his jump shot to be a D1 prospect.
Josh Speidel, 6’7” F Columbus North 2015, looks like he is starting to fill out in the upper body. He also had a great spin move from the block. Foot speed is the big concern for Speidel especially if he does not grow anymore. He might have an inch or two left though. MM+ prospect right now because of the lateral quickness concerns.
Tahjai Teague, 6’7” F Pike 2015, is extremely long. He has also improved a lot offensively. He is putting the ball on the floor more comfortably now. Teague’s release is unorthodox, but pretty consistent right now. He definitely has a chance to be MM+ although it is early still.
Keegan Culp, 6’6” SF Hamilton Southeastern 2015, looked great Sunday. I thought, he moved much better laterally than I saw over the summer. He is a true 6-6 now. Culp has always been a very good shooter and that has not changed. We will watch him throughout the league and season, but he looks like a legit MM prospect now.
Aaron Banks, 6’3” SG North Central 2015, is a talented guard with very good length. He can really defend and his jump shot is improving. I’m interested to see what type of season he has for North Central. Banks is a D1 prospect. {/iACL}
