The third week of the Metro Indy Basketball Fall League was highlighted by the duel between Ron Patterson and Eron Harris. Both were spectacular, scoring in every way possible. The game was back and forth as Harris and Patterson matched buckets. Ryan Weber was also really good for Patterson’s team. It wasn’t enough though as Harris scored 29 points in his team’s victory.

Eron Harris 6’3” SG Lawrence North 2012 Harris was absolutely outstanding in the game against Patterson. He scored at the rim, in transition, off of cuts, off the dribble, hit shots from the outside, and the best part was that I don’t think he forced any shots. He has improved an insane amount of the last 3 years. If he continues that pace, he will have a monster career at West Virginia.
Ryan Weber 6’7” SF Roncalli 2012 Weber shot the ball great in both games. His quick, smooth release is a big-time weapon. He was a steal for Youngstown State.
Brad Hartman 6’7” PF Union County 2012 Hartman does a lot of things well, but offensively he isn’t very consistent. He plays hard, he fights for rebounds, and he will take charges. He needs to be able to finish inside at a higher success rate. Hartman is also has great grades so that will help his recruitment.
Alex Etherington 6’6” SF Hamilton Heights 2013 I didn’t see very much of Etherington, but the small amount that I did see was very impressive. He is a legit 6’6” now and very athletic plus well built. It seems like his shooting mechanics are much better than they were in the past. He is a MM+ prospect at the minimum.
Cole Murray 6’7” PF Delphi 2013 Murray can be a bit too passive while playing with Ron Patterson and Ryan Weber, but he is really tough when he is aggressive. He is a pure shooter, but can also put the ball on the floor. He had a baseline drive and two-handed dunk in on game. Murray definitely has a chance to be a big-time player.
Jake Neely 6’6” PF Lakewood Park 2013 Neely has been torching the fall league and tonight was the first time that I was able to watch him. I walked away thoroughly impressed. He is a wide-bodied, banger inside that has great footwork and a soft touch around the basket. He finishes well with both hands. He can step out and knock down a 19-footer as well. He does need to drop some weight though because he struggles to move laterally right now. After just one viewing, I would put him in the low-major prospect range.
Jordan Garnett 6’5” PF Warren Central 2014 Garnett is a junkyard dog type of player. He is a good athlete and pursues rebounds extremely well. He will need to develop his perimeter offensive skills to be a Division I player though.
Harris Brown 5’11” PG Northwest 2015 Brown is an extremely quick, athletic point guard. He can also shoot it from the outside at a high level. He is still adjusting to the length and speed of the fall league competition which led to a few turnovers. Brown is one for mid-majors to keep an eye on.
Kaleb Ferrell 6’1” SG Perry Meridian 2015 Kaleb is Yogi’s younger brother and he is a completely different player. Kaleb is a wing and already taller than Yogi. Kaleb is a very good athlete that is a good outside shooter. He has a chance to be extremely good.
Justin Roberts 5’8” PG Pike 2017 Roberts looked like a good junior in high school…not that he was in junior high school tonight. He is quick, crafty with the ball, and can shoot it from the outside with a high, quick release. He is going to be one to watch out for in a few years. {/iACL}
