Greensburg junior Sean Sellers recently had a “nice little Saturday” to quote Will Ferrell in Old School. Greensburg captured the Regional title in Washington by defeating Evansville Bosse and Brownstown Central. Sellers also became the all-time leading scorer in Greensburg school history on the same day.

The junior leads the team with 19 points per game, but Bryant McIntosh (Indiana State) and Ryan Welage (2015) are not very far behind. Sellers also leads the team in rebounding with around six per contest. He does a bit of everything well. He has shot well over 60% from the field this season.

Sellers currently has a scholarship offer from IUPUI. “Schools I’ve talked to recently are IUPUI, IPFW, William & Mary, Belmont and South Dakota State. I may try and visit William & Mary over spring break,” said Sean.

He is not an eye-popping athlete, but his production has been off the charts for the last two summers. The 6-6 wing has faced some of the nation’s top players and consistently fared well while competing for the Eric Gordon All-Stars. Sellers will once again be with Coach Brian Keeton and the Eric Gordon program this spring/summer.

Sellers and Greensburg will face Mount Vernon (Fortville) Saturday in the Semi-State held at Richmond. Mount Vernon is led by junior CJ Coleman. It should be a very competitive game. {/iACL}
