One way of doing this is looking back at past rankings and figuring what happened, correctly and incorrectly. This article compares our final 2013 rankings to our May 23, 2010 rankings, the spring after the 2013's freshman year.

  • 18 of the 29 players appear on both lists.
  • 4 players that are on both lists switched high schools during their career.
  • There 3 La Lumiere players listed did not attend an Indiana high school at the time.
  • Many players did not grow much or at all after their freshman year.
  • Mike Crawford would have easily been in the top 15 in 2010 but I did not see him in person at the time.
  • Richard Freeman, Milos Kostic and Phillip Owens are the 3 players we really, really missed on. Freeman always had the phyiscal tools but never put it all together. Kostic was an early developer who always lacked athleticism. Owens is a weird one. He transferred in from Virginia in the spring of 2010. He ended up going to Warren Central but did not have much success. I'm not sure where Owens is now.
