Chris Palombizio was planning on transferring from Chesterton to Traders Point Christian Academy in Whitestown, Indiana next school year. That plan has now been cancelled and he will return to Chesterton. Palombizio's classmate Matt Holba is transferring to Guerin Catholic in Noblesville, Indiana. Chesterton does return Cole Teal and Corey Rusbolt along with Palombizio now. Here is more on Palombizio and an update on his recruitment.

Palombizio is a 6-4 shooter and should keep growing. His father, Dan Palombizio, was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame this year. Dan is 6-8 and Chris has an older brother that ended up being 6-6. A few more inches would definitely help his college potential as he is not a great athlete.
Speaking of college, Palombizio will take an unofficial visit to Western Michigan on Friday. He will also be attending Toledo's elite camp at the end of June. He currently has one offer from Eastern Illinois. His sister is a senior on the women's team at EIU. Palombizio also reports that Central Michigan and South Dakota State are showing interest.
Palombizio was the leading scorer for Chesterton as a sophomore. He averaged 12.6 points per game for a team that scored 59 points per game this past season. Palombizio will likely have even a bigger scoring role this season with the absence of Matt Holba. Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to see Palombizio this spring so I can't say how his game is progressing right now. We will make it a point to see Palombizio in June though. {/iACL}
