Best Choice FH Elite-Crist
#3 Hunter Crist, 6’1” G Hamilton Heights HS 2016, was mainly a spot-up for Hamilton Heights this season. He can handle it and has some quicks. We will track Crist and this team closely this spring.
#5 Chris King, 6’2” Indianapolis Shortridge HS 2016, good build, good athlete. His shooting form was pretty ugly on his outside shot.
#12 Kiante Enis, 6’3” Winchester HS 2016, athletic, long, looks physically mature. I didn’t get a chance to see how his ball skills were.
#4 KJ LeSure, 5’7” PG North Central HS 2016, quick. Shooter. LeSure is just very slight right now. If he grows, he will be a tough player/prospect.
Indiana Elite-Team Indiana 2016
#5 Demond “DJ” Wilkins, 6’2” SG Merrillville HS 2016, physically looks like Jalen Coleman in his build and height. Wilkins is a very good at creating off the dribble. He has great length. He’s a very good athlete. He sees the floor well. His outside shot looks to be his weakness. His ceiling is in the High-Major range.
#21 Anthony Murphy, 6’4” SF Griffith HS 2016, through the first weekend, I can’t tell you the differences in the twins games. They are both extremely athletic. They are both a legit 6-4 with a good build. Anthony showed a lot of toughness in the final. He hit the deck hard on a few fouls and he got back up and continued to play.
#22 Tremmell Murphy, 6’4” SF Griffith HS 2016, had a couple of really nice passes in transition. Tremmell and Anthony both struggled to finish in traffic. In transition they were great, but in a crowd they struggled to convert.
#10 Tucker Blackwell, 6’2” PG Bloomington HS South 2016, was really good all weekend. He was in the passing lanes creating turnovers. He was very good from beyond the arc like he was during the high school season. He always competes and usually makes the right play.
#3 C.J. Hedgepeth, 6’1” PG Evansville North HS 2016, big/wide shoulders. He looks physically mature. He is a pass first point guard. He takes contact well because he is pretty strong. He’s very good at finding the open man when he penetrates. He did not look for his outside shot. Mid-Major
#32 Nai Carlisle, 5’11” PG West Lafayette HS 2016, good build and a lefty. He is very good in transition while attacking the basket. He made pretty good decisions with the ball this weekend. He’ll be one to watch.
#2 Cameron Smith, 6’3” SG Indian Creek HS 2016, shooter. Smith looks physically mature. He can put it on the floor a little bit. He is not solely a catch and shoot guy. He’s not bad laterally right now.
#23 Conner TenHove, 6’6” PF Valparaiso HS 2016, good size/body. He doesn’t have much lift off the floor right now. He can handle it a little bit. He was most effective around the basket this weekend.
#34 Brandon Vansant, 6’6” PF Bloomfield HS 2016, similar to TenHove in build. He was very active around the basket. He was extremely productive in his minutes. I’m not sure of his potential yet. This weekend was the first time seeing Vansant.
#42 Eli Walton, 6’3” SF Southport HS 2016, played well in the Metro Indy Fall League. He has a great athletic frame. He didn’t get much production this weekend but his minutes were limited.
Indiana Elite Jazz
#12 Justin Thomas, 5’10” PG Pike HS 2016, lighting quick. Thomas really got after it defensively against the talented Indiana Elite-Team Indiana guards. He also had a nice step back 17 footer. He broke into the Pike rotation late in the season. He’s going to be a player to watch in the 2016 class.
#10 Jordan Walker, 5’11” PG North Central HS 2016, strong, quick point guard. He was great defensively Sunday. He played critical minutes in the sectional because of his defensive ability. Walker actually guarded 6-6 Zak Irvin in the final minutes of that game. He is tough going to the basket because his is so strong he can score through people. Some of his college potential will depend on if and how much he grows.
#34 Jalen White, 6’2” SG Pike HS 2016, first look at White. He is long and pretty athletic. He was good especially in the first half of the 15u finals. We’ll be tracking White from now on.
Indiana Ice 2016
#00 David Hanyard, 5’8” PG Lafayette Jeff HS 2017, middle school kid that played up. He played well and he also played well against varsity players last fall in the Metro Indy Fall League. He will be a player to watch.
Team Indiana Red Wolves
#0 Ty Kirtz, 6’1” PG Brownsburg HS 2016, good size and strength for a freshman guard. He gets to the basket really well. His shot looks pretty good as well. He looks like he could be a player. We’ll have to see him more this spring.
#23 Djimon Henson, 6’2” SG Warren Central HS 2016, long, solid handles. He can create off the bounce. He’s another player that we had not seen before Sunday. He’s got a chance to be good but we need to see more of him.
#2 Mekhi Biffle, 6’0” G Lawrence Central HS 2016, quick and long. He was able to get to the paint against Indiana Elite frequently.
Grassroots Indiana 2016
#40 Brandon Peters, 6’4” SF Avon HS 2016, decent athlete. Good length with him being at least 6-4 and maybe 6-5. Shooting is his best ability. He’s not bad off the dribble at this point. He’s active on the glass. He’ll compete on the defensive end.
14U Division
Indiana Elite-Ice
#15 Jermaine Couisnard, 5’10” PG East Chicago Central 2017, first look at the talented 8th grader. He is extremely long. He passes it very well. He can shoot off the dribble. His shooting form needs some tweaking but he is only an 8th grader. Couisnard has a chance to be special.
#13 Amari Evans, 6’2” PF Indianapolis Howe 2017, LEFTY. He showed off nice touch and form on a right shoulder jump hook. He moves well laterally. I’m not sure how much growth he has left physically.
#25 Courvoisier McCauley, 6’1” SF Indianapolis Shortridge 2017, long and skilled. He could play just about every position on the floor right now. He was loose with his handles in transition but he got away with it in the game that I saw. His father is 6-7 so he has a chance to grow quite a bit.
Blake Evans, 5’7” PG Cathedral HS 2017, good defensive IQ. He had a couple of nice drives where he finished in traffic at the basket. He’ll be a nice player down the road. He is IPFW signee Mo Evans’s brother. {/iACL}
