I talked to Ronnie Johnson Wednesday afternoon to see where his recruiting was at the moment. The ultra quick point guard from North Central confirmed standing offers from Indiana State and Ohio, so far. Johnson also said that he has been hearing from Butler, Eastern Illinois, Michigan, and Purdue. There have been rumors that Michigan has offered him, but he said that is not true. Although, Johnson mentioned "I'll be going up to Michigan's Elite camp."
When I asked if his brother, Terone Johnson (Purdue), has given him any recruiting advice..."yeah, he just said to take your time and really get to know the coaching staff at each college you are looking at."
So, it looks like he is in no rush with his recruiting. Johnson's recruiting has just started to take off with his state championship run with North Central and a great start to his spring. We'll be keeping up with Ronnie throughout the summer!
