The Monday after the college basketball season is known as Black Monday in the basketball world for all the coaching firings. Well, Monday was Black Monday in terms of players transferring. Indiana University saw three players leave the program on Monday while Indianapolis native Eron Harris left West Virginia. Here are notes on those transfers and rumors about where they might end up.

Austin Etherington Transfers from Indiana

Stats: Played in 30 of 32 games. 10.6 MPG, 2.0 PPG, 1.6 RPG, 33% FG, 24% 3FG, 78% FT

Rumors: His brother, Alex, plays at Indiana State so that is a reasonable destination. His father, Brett, played at Butler and it is close to home. Butler has scholarship room, so that cold be an option. Xavier should be in the picture. Etherington is waiting to see what schools are blocked by Indiana before moving forward.

Jeremy Hollowell Transfers from Indiana

Stats: Played 29 games (suspended for 3). 18 MPG, 5.7 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 35% FG, 22% 3FG, 78% FT

Rumors: There are rumors that Ronnie Johnson - the Purdue transfer - and Hollowell would like to transfer somewhere together. They are best friends from Indianapolis.

Jonny Marlin Transfers from Indiana

Stats: Played in 18 games for Indiana this season, but just 2.4 MPG. He started for IPFW as a freshman before transferring to Indiana.

Rumors: It looks like Marlin will transfer to Indiana Wesleyan to play right away.

Eron Harris Transfers from West Virginia

Stats: 31 MPG, 17 PPG, 44% FG, 42% 3FG, 86% FT

Rumors: I haven't heard much on Harris yet. Expect basically every program in the Midwest to be involved. He is a shooting guard with athleticism.

Nolan Berry Transfers from Butler

Stats: 5 MPG, 2 PPG, 1.3 RPG

Rumors: Berry is from St. Louis, Missouri. At 6-10, he has size that many programs are looking for.

Rumors:

I've heard that Tyler Alderman at Jacksonville has his release, but since they fired their head coach,  he might stay.  He is a 6-9 power forward that just finished his sophomore year at JU.

Indiana might be seeing three more players transfer in Troy Williams, Hanner Perea and Peter Jurkin. Indiana would really be behind the 8-ball if Williams and/or Perea transfers. Jurkin has really been limited by injuries at Indiana.
