Butler assistant coach Terry Johnson stopped by Fort Wayne North Side on Tuesday per North Side coach Shabaz Khaliq. The open gym visit let him see two prospects with considerable potential.

2017 forward Jaylen Butz transferred from Fort Wayne Bishop Luers to North Side this season. He missed most of the 2013-2014 high school season. He is a bit under the radar because of that.

Butz is 6-foot-7 and moves well. He is a good rebounder with a solid feel for the game. He has the potential to be a high-major prospect.

The other major prospect at North Side's open gym was Keion Brooks Jr. He is a 2019 prospect that will be at North Side next year. Brooks is long, lanky and athletic. He has a chance to be really special. Coach Khaliq was extremely high on Brooks when I spoke to him in May. Brooks has more growth left and will become more athletic when he adds strength.

Keion Brooks and Jaylen Butz will be receiving major recruiting attention throughout their high school careers.
