There have been a bunch of 2015 commitments recently and that didn't stop on Friday. Indianapolis Scecina Memorial teammates T.J. Henderson and Gary Bonds committed to the hometown IUPUI Jaguars. Here is more.
T.J. Henderson became the 15th player in the state's 2015 class to commit to a Division I school. Then Gary Bonds quickly became the the 16th player. Henderson and Bonds are teammates at Scecina Memorial and ended the travel season as teammates on Team Progeny. Bonds started the travel season with the EYBL Spiece Indy Heat.
Henderson was committed to IPFW for a very short time period in June. He committed soon after IPFW offered him on an unofficial visit and decided to open his recruitment for July. That is when IUPUI became the favorite. Henderson is a shooter that can stretch defenses with his accuracy. He has also done more off the dribble this travel season than he did last summer.
Gary Bonds is a 6-foot-9 forward that shows flashes of being a force in the paint. He had scholarship offers from Wright State and New Orleans during his high school career. He has the potential to do well at IUPUI. He has the size, length and touch around the basket to be productive in the Summit League.
