Greenfield-Central small forward Tate Hall (2016) committed to the University of Indianapolis on Thursday evening. The Division II school made Hall a priority in July and it paid off. Here is more on Hall's decision.
Tate Hall's recruitment exploded during July and into August. He received offer after offer from Division I and Division II programs. In the end, it was a school that was on him early that ended up getting him.
Hall said that the location of the school, the success of the program under Stan Gouard and the relationship with the coaching staff led to him selecting the GLVC school. The school is about a half hour from his hometown. The Greyhounds were 25-6 last season.
The 2016 prospect had scholarship offers from Indianapolis, Green Bay, Alabama-Huntsville, Army, Christian Brothers and Rockhurst. Hall said that the decision came down to Indianapolis, Alabama-Huntsville and Wisconsin-Green Bay.
Hall is a wing that continues to grow physically and his game. He showed an expanded game in July which led to his recruitment increase. He should be a versatile player for Indianapolis as a wing and possibly some 'stretch 4' if he adds another inch or two. It is a solid pick-up for the Division II school.
