2019 Indiana high school basketball player rankings have been updated by Indiana Basketball Source. Here are a few thoughts about the current rankings along with links to the rankings.
Fort Wayne North’s Keion Brooks Jr. is the ease pick for the top spot. He is highly productive right now with great potential for the future. He is a 6-foot-7 forward with athleticism and guard skills. Barring injury, Brooks will be a top 20 player nationally in the 2019 class.
The rest of the rankings get tricky. At this point, there is not a solidified second player to Brooks. 2019 is a deep class overall with plenty of mid-major, low-major and Division II prospects. There isn’t a huge gap between two and 15 in terms of college potential.
Some players are still getting their feet wet at the varsity level while others have been two-year starters. It’s going to be interesting to see if any players hit growth spurts or if other players focus more on the game. Those things make players climb the rankings.
