Indiana Basketball Source has released prospect rankings for the 2020 class.

It's still early in the development process for many of the players. The rankings will be expanding dramatically in the next six months. 95% of college coaches don't look at high school freshmen. They are too busy filling out their incoming recruiting classes and evaluating juniors. The 5% of colleges that are actively recruiting freshmen are focusing on the top of the class. Most of the early scholarship offers are placeholders rather than the college trying to secure a commitment at that moment. The college just wants to make it known to the player that they were in the picture earlier than other schools.

The current rankings are based on college potential. Since it is early, a player's potential is much more important than current production. These players are four years away from playing college basketball. There will be many players that improve dramatically compared to their classmates. Many players will hit growth spurts in the years to come that help their college projection.
