Stop me if you have heard this before, a Duncan is headed to the University of Vermont. 2018 point guard Robin Duncan will join his brothers, Ernie and Everett, at Vermont in the fall of 2018.
Robin Duncan is a pass-first guard that has improved his scoring ability in the last year. His ability as a passer puts him at the top of the class in Indiana. Duncan sees the floor at a high level and knows how to get the ball where it needs to be. He had a strong spring with Pocket City as he expanded his game. Duncan helped in all areas of the game for Pocket City. His defense took a step forward as did his rebounding production. Duncan's progress is a good sign for what he'll be able to do at Vermont.
Vermont made the NCAA Tournament this year. The Catamounts gave Purdue a game before bowing out 80-70. Vermont was 29-6 last season. Due to redshirts, Robin will get to play with Ernie and Everett. Ernie will be a senior while Everett will be a junior duing Robin's freshman year at Vermont. Ernie has a chance to get to the 1,000 career point mark this year as a redshirt junior. That will be a fun year for the Duncan brothers.
Robin had scholarship offers from the likes of Ball State, Kent State, IUPUI and Tennessee-Martin. There was talk of Duncan wanting to stay closer to home during the recruiting process. He decided to join Ernie and Everett at Vermont instead. He decided to commit to Vermont on his visit to the school this weekend.
Robin Duncan joins DeAndre Gholston as committed 2018 players in Indiana. Gholston is verbally committed to Kent State. Kevin Easley was committed to VCU before a coaching change made him reopen his recruitment.
