Indiana Basketball Source has updated its 2018 Indiana high school basketball player rankings. Many of the players are still looking to separate themselves from the field. Here are a few more thoughts on the class and rankings.
Romeo Langford has been the number player in 2018 throughout Indiana Basketball Source’s ranking of the class. His play at the adidas EuroCamp made clear that no one in the state is challenging him as the top long-term prospect. He is currently playing on Team USA U19 in the FIBA World Cup in Egypt.
At the second spot, Damezi Anderson’s play on the Nike EYBL has solidified his spot at number two. His shooting ability is going to translate to the next level quickly. He has also shown a willingness to play in the post on the defensive end for the undersized MeanStreets team. He needs to polish his game, but Anderson’s game can help many high-major programs.
McCutcheon’s Robert Phinisee lands at our third spot. The point guard is a playmaker on both ends of the court. He can change the game with his anticipation on the defensive end of the floor. His outside shooting is showing steady improvement as well. I expect him to have a big July for Indiana Elite 2018.
The fourth ranked player had a great spring. He has been elevating his game on a steady incline over the last couple of years. Aaron Henry has played his way to the high-major level. He has put winning and producing at a high level above all else. He had a tremendous spring for Team Harris. Henry is ready to take the next step in July.
