There have been 44 players of the 2012 class in Indiana announce their college decision so far with 36 of them to D1 schools. That isn’t counting D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera or A.J. Hammons.

Petey Balls committed to Northern Illinois on Friday night. He took his official visit to the MAC school last weekend. The 6’0” point guard from Lawrence North also had Division I interest from IUPUI, Mercer, and Hartford.

Nick Crays 6’0” PG North Daviess 2013 reports interest from Army, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Indiana Wesleyan, and Purdue-Calumet.

Grant Meyer 5’10” PG Silver Creek 2012 visited D2 St. Joe’s College this week.

Tyler Alderman 6’9” C Fishers 2012 picked up an offer from Jacksonville per Kyle Neddenriep. He also has an offer from SIU-E. He planned to take an official visit to IPFW this weekend, but that has been rescheduled.

Jason Smith 6’4” SF Indianapolis Manual 2012 committed to Lamar this week along with Donnell Minton 6’0” PG Indianapolis Northwest.

Daniel Purvlicis 6’7” PF Noblesville 2012 has recently visited DePauw and St. Francis. He has an offer from St. Francis.

Josh James 6’7” PF Andrean 2012 recently took an official visit to Texas Pan American. He has an offer from them, Lewis University, and Merchant Marine Academy. James said that South Dakota State, IPFW, IUPUI, and Maryville University have been at open gym to watch him.

Ronnye Beamon 6’3” SG Bishop Noll 2012 told us that he has offers from Indiana State, Evansville, Valpo, Lehigh, Jacksonville, Illinois State, and Cleveland State. I’m not sure how accurate that list is though as I don’t believe he has offers from a few of them. He said Valpo, Jacksonville, and Texas Pan American have been showing the most interest and he plans to officially visit them.

Adam Kroot 6’3” SG Brebeuf 2014 has received interest from Harvard, Tennessee, Evansville, and the University of Denver. {/iACL}
