New Albany's Romeo Langford cut his list to seven schools Monday - Indiana, Louisville, Kansas, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, UCLA, North Carolina.
Langford has no plans to commit before the end of the high school basketball season, but he has eliminated many schools from contention. The seven schools left in the race include no shocking developments. It's the list that Indiana Basketball Source was told by a person close to Langford in June. The main surprise of the list to many fans is Vanderbilt being in the recruitment. They made some headway early in the summer, though.
With eight months likely left to Langford's recruitment, there is plenty of twists and turns remaining in his pursuit. Many believe that Louisville and Kansas are the current leaders to land Langford. At this point, I wouldn't rule out any of the seven schools.
Romeo Langford will be challenging Damon Bailey's career scoring record for Indiana high school basketball this season. His chase of the record along with coaching legends frequenting his games throughout the year will make for a crazy season at New Albany. Hundreds of fans waited for Langford's autograph after games last year. It will only intensify this season.
