New Albany's Romeo Langford cut his list to three schools Saturday.
Langford named Indiana, Kansas, and Vanderbilt as his final three schools. He has completed official visits to all three schools. Langford and his family have kept the recruitment close to the vest throughout his high school career. The 2018 shooting guard is expected to make a decision after the basketball season. That will allow him to evaluate the rosters, coaching staff and other things closer to the time he will arrive on a college campus.
It was a bit surprising that North Carolina did not make the cut. Once Louisville was eliminated due to the FBI complaint, it seemed like the Tar Heels had some recruiting momentum with Langford. That did not turn out to the be the case.
Vanderbilt and Indiana are finalists for Langford and 2018 point guard Darius Garland. If either school lands both, the school will have an instant impact backcourt. At the highest levels, that doesn't happen very often.
Once again, don't expect to hear any significant develops with Langford during the season. He will be focusing on the year with his recruitment on the backburner.
