New Castle's Mason Gillis (2019) added an offer from Xavier over the weekend.
The offers have been rolling in for Mason Gillis. The most recent has come from Xavier. Purdue and Butler extended offers to the 2019 forward earlier in the season.
Gillis is having a great junior year for 3A #2 New Castle. The Trojans captured the Hall of Fame Classic behind the play of Gillis. He's averaging 19.7 points and 12.9 rebounds per game. His shooting and overall efficiency are two promising parts of his game. He is shooting 42% on 43 attempts from three-point range this season. He's also shooting 78% from the free throw line. In order to excel at the high-major level, Gillis will need to be able to stretch the floor with his shooting. He is quickly progressing to that point.
It appears that Xavier is emphasizing forwards and centers in the 2019 class, so far. The Musketeers have also offered the top prospects in Indiana - Keion Brooks, Trayce Jackson-Davis, Alex Hemenway, Armaan Franklin and now Gillis. Plus, Xavier has offered Isaiah Stewart from La Lumiere. He's a transplant from New York.
