Trevor Andershock and Ben Czarny detail the top performers from day two of the Under Armour Association in Fishers, Indiana.
In his first game of the day, Emmitt Matthews of Washington Supreme struggled little bit having 19 points on 8-20 shooting but had 14 rebounds. In the second game he had more of efficient output scoring having 23 points on 8-17 shooting including 4-8 from 3 with five rebounds. Emitted de-committed from Connecticut after the firing of head coach Kevin Ollie. He looks to bring his game to another level this AAU season by getting stronger and handling the ball. He was awesome in his last game verse Mudiay Elite as he was scoring at will. He has all the tools to be a great wing at the next level. He has offers from Boise State, Connecticut, Georgetown, Oregon State, Washington, West Virginia, Montana, Portland State, North Carolina State, and Washington State. Look for some more offers to pile up as the season goes cause he keeps getting better.
Bryan Antoine of Team Rio is one of the top prospects in the Under Armor Association. He had 15 points and four rebounds in the firstt game. In the second game against Team Breakdown, he had 21 points and seven rebounds plus the game-tying three to take the game to overtime. He does a lot of good things as a combo guard. He has athleticism to finish and create, but the question mark will be his shooting at the next level. I was able to catch up with him after the game he seems to be well down to earth kid and understands what it will take to become a great player at the next level. Giving bit of update on him he said that he will look to cut his list down after this session and during the summer take his official visits and hopefully make decision sometime around September and October. He also mentioned that still is possibility of him being a package deal with Scottie Lewis. The main schools that seem still in contention to get him are Duke, Villanova, Kansas, and plenty other schools.
Isaiah Wong is another guard who has been playing well on the circuit. In the first game, he had 30 points on 10-14 shooting from the field including 4-6 from 3 and 6-7 from the free throw line. In the second game, he had 31 points (10-19 shooting) thanks to 10-13 from the line. His best attribute as a guard is he gets to the rim and finishes strong. He understands he needs to get different change of gears when talking to him that he just has one speed as guard but right now physically he has the tools to be a good combo guard at the next level. Some of his offers include Villanova, Miami, St. Joes, TCU, and Temple.
Josh Green (2020) is a physical specimen that could make some NBA players jealous. He’s 6-4/6-5 with really long arms then strength and explosive athleticism to boot. He dominated the game against G3 GRIND with his pressure defense. Green made every pass tough for the G3 GRIND guards. Many of the passes ended up being points for Green and his teammates. Green finished with 20 points on 7-13 shooting. There’s little doubt that he is one of the best guards in the country.
De’Sean Allen-Eikens (2018) has proven that he can score against top-tier competition over the last two weeks. Saturday, he had games of 22 against West Coast Elite and 17 in a win over Oklahoma Run PWP. He’s a versatile wing that can put the ball on the deck to score around the basket or hit an outside shot. Allen-Eikens is a high academic prospect, so I expect more colleges to get involved after this week.
Samari Curtis closed out the night with an impressive showing. The Xavier commit has a really quick first step then he has the size, strength and finishing ability to score efficiently. He also stepped into a three late in the game and his form looked good. I believe, it was my first time seeing Curtis, but it was a strong first impression.
